About Jonathan
I'm Jonathan Yaseen (known locally as Jonny). I'm a real estate advisor with Telluride Properties and co-founder of the Yaseen Brothers team alongside my brother Ryan. We focus on luxury real estate in Telluride and Mountain Village, including condominiums, ski-in-ski-out homes, new development, and legacy estates. My family's roots here trace back to the founding of Ouray and the gold mining era that built this region. Telluride is where I have chosen to deepen roots that were planted long before me.
Ryan and I are also co-founders of Telluride Estates, where we publish market analysis, reporting, and video content focused on Telluride real estate and mountain living.
Most people who work with me say the same thing afterward. They felt like they were making grounded decisions, not being steered toward them. That is intentional. My job is not to sell you on something. It is to make sure you understand what you are looking at, what it means for your situation, and what your real options are. The right decision tends to become clear once the noise settles.
Before real estate, I worked within a family investment office with holdings across real estate, hospitality, and life sciences. I provided direct support to the co-founder and Executive Chairman of a biotech company through its $1.6 billion IPO, which gave me firsthand exposure to valuation, investor dynamics, and what a high-stakes capital-markets process actually looks like from the inside. Before that I was Operating Partner at there... telluride, one of the region's most respected hospitality businesses, where I helped shape guest experience, operational culture, and brand identity for more than a decade. I can still be found there occasionally entertaining and serving up a shotski.
What that background gives a client is judgment. The questions that actually matter in this market—around value, timing, structure, and long-term fit—rarely live in a market report. They come from experience, and I bring that experience to every conversation.
I work with buyers and sellers across the full range of Telluride real estate: Mountain Village estates and ski-access homes, historic and renovated legacy properties, condominiums, new development, and lifestyle ranches. Most clients find the process feels less complicated than they expected. Not because it is, but because the right context makes the right moves easier to see.
This community has shaped me as much as I have tried to serve it. I have served on the San Miguel Bicycle Alliance, the Town of Telluride Open Space Commission, and the Town of Telluride Ethics Commission. Those roles gave me a practical understanding of local land use, policy, and development that informs how I think about every listing and every negotiation.
My wife and I are raising our two children here. That is not a detail I include lightly. It is the reason this work carries weight beyond the transaction.
If you are thinking about buying or selling in Telluride, I would rather have a real conversation than send you a brochure. The best ones usually start with a simple question.
